I have wanted to publicly give recognition to so many amazing people in my life for months now. Some of you I know very well, some of you I hardly know at all but you've impacted my life. Recognition was big at Apple and I'm kind of just in the habit now.
Ivette- Thank you for inviting me into your community before I even graduated from Code Fellows. Thank you for trusting me with your kiddos and allowing me to be a part of the Coding Falcons team. You are one of the strongest people I know. I love that we have the same goals and that you challenge me to work towards those goals alongside you, learning from you. Even when I'm not feeling my healthiest you are still sending me texts and emails with upcoming events. I cannot wait to keep building with you.
Brian M- Thank you for recommending me for a job you were initially asked to apply for, but you knew I had a passion for what this company, StrataGen, stood for. Thank you for meeting up with me after interviews to debrief and to share your experiences as a successful project manager at Microsoft. You have taught me so much and give so much of your time to your friends. You are such a positive being and such a hard worker. Congratulations on doing what you want!
George- Thank you for recommending me for the position you were leaving behind at T-mobile to pursue your new career at Microsoft. Thank you for answering my thousands of questions about the role. Thank you for sharing your stories and being someone to confide in during our Code Fellows months. You don't know this, and it will probably make you roll out of your seat with laugher, but you really are like a big brother to me. Thank you for your friendship.
Michelle- Thank you for being such an incredible teammate. Always rallying us and lifting our spirits. You were such a huge part of our cohort. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I appreciate your support. See you tomorrow to set up our arduino and talk about future plans. Congrats on your new role at Microsoft! They are so lucky to have you.
Eddie- Thank you for being as obsessed with programming as you are. And thank you for sharing that with everyone around you. Thank you for helping me while I was a TA. I think it's so important to have someone to bounce ideas off of and you go well beyond that. Thank you, on behalf of everyone, for all your unpaid help. Congrats on making it into Microsoft’s LEAP program! There is no one more deserving.

Your love for your friends and family is the reason I even know how to write a blog post like this.
Michael Treat- Thank you for TRULY caring about people and for making students feel comfortable enough to ask you any coding questions without fear of being made fun of. You are a true example of what a teacher should be.
