January: Moved into a great house with great girls; lots of Apple field trips; hiking Lake 22 with Taylor and Lisa; met so many more great people.
February: Lots of Elko pup bonding; Eunice's superb cooking; Nick Brandon came for a visit; Beyonce was at the Superbowl; Paul and I face swapped to create Nicolas Cage.
February: Enjoyed taking the bus again on a regular basis; visited cousin Morgan and Dave in Van; cousin Chris and Laura had a big fat Greek wedding in Daytona; Justin, Aaron and I snowshoed Paradise.
March: I got to hold my guinea pig nephew with Morgan and Dave; the new Link light rail stations opened; Herb introduced us all to Tacos Chukis; Justin, Aaron and I at Discovery Park; family visit to Lake Wenatchee; Uvillage fam break time.
April: Creative Strategies training week in Austin, Texas with fourteen other amazing Creatives from across the U.S. One of the best weeks of my life so far. We had training from 9-5pm, but spent our evenings hiking, driving to downtown Austin for burgers and going to an improv show.
May: More beach visits with Justin and Aaron; surprising Morgan in Leavenworth after her bike race; hiking Rattlesnake Ledge with Max, Mary and Aaron; photo bombing visiting employee's selfies; getting thank you notes from workshop attendees.
May: Best friend Tony Mike visited from New York; Liz visited from Dallas; camping on Washington's Olympic coast at Mora campground near Rialto Beach with Justin, Aaron, Liz, David, Gina, Daniel and Haley.
May and June: Rattlesnake Ledge; Claire came back from Sasquatch camping; Anthony's visit; I ran through the North Beacon hill neighborhoods a lot; walked Justin's roommate's dogs; Shamika drew outside the store on her breaks with her new easel on nice days; Paul sort of took my portrait at a rented space in Seattle Center.
June and July: Another photo of that Paradise snowshoeing; hiked Lake Serene with Heather; Eunice's cousins visited Seattle; Capitol Hill Block Party; more dog walks with Justin and Patrick.
August: My 29th birthday. Getting a photo of my coworkers wishing me a happy birthday; Lynsey made me a birthday bread loaf and I could have died happy right then and there; watched some USWNT soccer at the Atlantic Crossing pub on my actual birthday; visited Grandma Marilyn; Darius's studio space on Beacon Hill.
September: Eunice and I visited the Northwest African American Museum; Max's birthday; Seahawk's training camp but only because we got tickets from TayTay!!!!! Thank you, T Shead!; Patrick's Highlarious Comedy Festival in Seattle; golfed with Ted and dad a few times at Jefferson finally; Maria visited from Dallas; Chinatown's summer Night Market with Lynsey; Justine's birthday.
September: More city hall meetings with Council member Kshama Sawant; Missing Maps/Red Cross volunteering; hiked Discovery Park with Kira and Elko pup; Doyle pup snuggles; KEXP radio volunteering with Aaron and Evan.
October: Joel and I ferry ride to Whidbey to visit his friends for a private concert; another Maria visit photo; Anish's birthday on Capitol Hill; reading with Doyle on the balcony; Anthony visited Austin for work and got to see Stevie and Brittany.
October, November and December: Heart and Brain book signing with Nick Seluk and Matthew Inman, creator of The Oatmeal; five years at Apple, end of November; election night with Liana and Claire; Seattle City Hall meeting to help with Kshama Sawant's Build 1,000 Homes initiative; Halloween at Alex's Capitol Hill apartment; women's march.
November: Microsoft holiday party; hot pot Thanksgiving with Eunice, Lynsey and Taylor, Uncle John and Aunt Holly; Lake Wenatchee visit with brother Nick, Eunice and Elko.
December: Kym visited with Tosh, the corg-bot, my sweet dog nephew; a photo of Taylor from the beginning of the year. Sounders won their first MLS cup against Toronto!!!
2016 leftovers: Eunice's friend Justin visited and we did the Seattle Underground tour; Nick, dad and I visited SAM for Kehinde Wiley's work; group shot of the Creative Strategies crew in Austin, Texas; Nick and I at Lake Wenatchee burning dead trees; Eunice's amazing cooking; one of my favorite photos ever- Anthony and I dancing to our own singing of J Cole in Austin.
