Day two with Ivette's web dev class

Added on by Madeline Stevens.

Today Ivette left web dev class early to teach the other teachers how to use google classrooms, so I got to help troubleshoot unlinked stylesheets, Atom crashes, spellchecking, and laughing at the images everyone found (rainbow books, double down sandwiches, swirling pizza gifs).

The lesson today was image tags within our html docs, then styling those images within our style.css. Check out two examples here in codepen.

Also! The images of the donated chrome book laptops and charging station are to demonstrate the need for more charging stations! Right now that cart is only designed to charge 16 chrome books, but there are a total of 64 chrome books. Here is the gofundme for anyone and everyone to donate even just $1 to help purchase more charging carts.

The one cart has 16 slots, but even if you crammed three chrome books to a slot, and somehow macgyvered the charging adapters to charge those crammed laptops you'd still only be charging 48 of the 64 total laptops!

It's so important to keep the laptops safe, charging and healthy for the next round of students in the years to come.

Rihanna asked if I had ever created a game because she wants to learn more about game making. I was able to tell her that I had (along with four others! Go dream team!) and she played our situational, single player game for a few minutes while she waited for her ride. #whyrolemodelsmatter
